Rod Hornsby, proprietor of Global Motorcycles is a motorcycle enthusiast of long standing. For over 40 years he has been repairing & restoring motorcycles. Everything from the humble BSA Bantam to modern superbikes such as Ducati 916, Yamaha R1 & Honda Fireblade. Gifted with natural mechanical aptitude, from the age of 16 Rod found himself helping his friends out whenever their bikes developed problems. For many years his personal machine of choice was the extremely popular BSA A10, an example of which he bought at 16 and still owns to this day. Rod’s first involvement with the Vincent Marque came at the age of 13 when he rode pillion behind his uncle on a series “B” Rapide. In the early 1980’s that same Rapide came Rod’s way, by now in need of restoration. The rest as they say is history and that “B”Rapide is his pride & joy to this day.Nowadays those friends from the 1960’s have mostly moved away from bikes but it’s still generally believed that if cut, Rod would bleed Castrol R.

Whilst specializing in the Vincent marque, offering a world class renovation & repair service and holding an extensive inventory of top quality spares we are also able to undertake selected renovation commissions for other Marques.We welcome your call & appreciate your business.
